Recent SSH Brute Force Attacks

Also known as dictionary attacks, which uses a list of known passwords, a program will connect to a remote SSH server and attempt to login using common user name/password combinations. Recently there has been surge of these attack attempts noticed by server administrators. This paper will attempt to briefly discuss these attacks, how they work, where they come from and most importantly, possible ways to stop them.
