Microsoft Corp. on Tuesday released several security fixes for its Windows operating system and
Office software, and rereleased two previous patches.
The Redmond software maker said one of the patches fixes a defect in a version of its Office Publisher software that carries the company’s highest "critical" rating. The other patches were to fix Windows flaws that are considered less threatening.
The company also rereleased another fix for a critical flaw in some versions of the Internet Explorer browser that is included in the Windows operating system, because it had discovered an additional security concern. Microsoft patches Windows, Office - Security - MSNBC.com
